Dos and Don'ts for Founders Day

PLEASE DO

  • Arrive on Time: Plan to arrive early to avoid parking issues and enjoy the full range of activities from the start.

  • Follow Safety Guidelines: Adhere to any safety guidelines or instructions provided by volunteers and public safety. Stick to the sidewalks during the parade

  • Stay Hydrated: Drink plenty of water, especially if it’s a hot day.

  • Bring Essentials: Carry essentials like water, sunscreen, hats, and any personal medications you might need throughout the day.

  • Be Considerate: Respect other attendees, volunteers, and staff.

  • Dispose of Trash Properly: Use designated trash and recycling bins to keep the event area clean and enjoyable for everyone.

  • Enjoy the day and have fun

PLEASE DO NOT

  • Leave Children Unsupervised: Always keep an eye on your children. Ensure they are safe and within your sight at all times.

  • Disregard Parking Rules: Follow parking instructions and only park in designated areas to avoid fines and towing.

  • Bring Your Dog: Pets are not allowed at the event, even if they are leashed.

  • Ride Bicycles Through the Parade: Do not join the parade on your bike if you have not registered. You will be asked to leave.

  • Ride Bicycles on the Field: For safety reasons, bicycles are not allowed on the field.

  • Bring Squirt Guns or Silly String: These items are prohibited at all Founders Day events.

  • Bring Alcoholic Beverages: Alcoholic beverages are not allowed at the event.

  • Overlook Personal Safety: Keep an eye on your belongings and stay within the designated event areas for safety.

  • Leave Before the Fireworks: Don’t miss the grand finale! Stay for the fireworks show to end the day on a high note.
